The Château de Bonaguil, standing proudly on a rocky outcrop, is a fascinating structure to behold. Hidden in the bottom of the valley, its turrets and ramparts are the fabric of dreams and legends. Visitors are often pleasantly surprised by the castle’s natural harmony with the location.
The Château de Bonaguil is a special and slightly mysterious place. Every step reveals a new element of its rich architecture. A visit in the company of a guide makes for a truly fascinating experience. Bonaguil is one of the most beautiful medieval châteaus in France. This important European heritage site should not be missed by anyone visiting the Lot Valley. Abounding with stories and legends and listed as one of the Sites Majeurs d’Aquitaine, the walls of the fortified castle of Bonaguil contain all the military artifice of medieval times and some surprising requirements concerning comfort!
